Clarification... while federal agents have made arrests and cleared area in front of ICE facility, the camp proper is not a part of their jurisdiction and has not been raided.
This distinction is really critical.
Occupiers have no intention of packing up or leaving. Folks will regroup and help support arrestees

@uuim great question. It's almost like "law enforcement" in this country is utterly and demonstrably unaccountable for the most blatant and egregious of crimes and they fucking know it.
2015, a thousand people killed by police (more ppl in first 25 days of yr, than ppl killed by police in the UK and Wales in the past 25 years). 0 convictions. Zero.

Also call the other Portland city commissioners to make these demands and have them take strong policy positions here.
They want to defer responsibility and Wheeler just wants to talk to voters about how Portland is a "sanctuary city". THAT IS BULLSHIT. If commissioners aren't making fierce policy to protect its residents - especially those most vulnerable to Trump, we are NO SANCTUARY.
